From circuit diagram to block

A manifold replaces the piping between valves with passages drilled in a single body. That cuts the number of potential leak points, shrinks the system and speeds up assembly.

We design from your circuit diagram with a lean (DFMA) approach, in SolidWorks with a dedicated hydraulic block library. The design goes to you for approval, and an assembled STEP file is available on request. Ports are placed within SAE port limits and wrench clearance angles, and the item numbers from the circuit diagram are marked on the block.

Materials, coating and inspection

Ductile iron (GGG40, GGG50), steel (CK45, HYT60) and aluminium (5000, 6000, 7000 series), all crack-tested and certified. Surface protection is manganese phosphate, zinc or anodising.

Our workshop machines single-piece blocks up to 3,000 kg, drills holes up to 1.5 m deep and has an annual capacity of 70 tonnes. Final inspection uses gauges, an endoscopic camera with recorded images, coating thickness and surface roughness measurement and thread gauges.

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest block you can machine?

Single-piece blocks up to 3,000 kg, with deep-hole drilling up to 1.5 m.

Can blocks be delivered with valves fitted?

Yes. Valves are fitted to their torque values, and leak and function tests are available on request. Blind plugs are fitted, and blocks over 15 kg ship with a lifting eye.

Which material should I choose?

Pressure, weight and environment decide. Aluminium is light and anodised, suited to lower pressures where weight matters. Ductile iron and steel are used for high pressure and large bodies.
