What a magnetic filter catches
Pumps, gears and bearings shed fine ferrous wear particles, many small enough to pass conventional elements. Neodymium magnets placed in the flow pull them out of the oil or coolant without forcing the flow through a medium, so there is no pressure drop and no chemical additive. Non-magnetic dirt still needs a conventional filter, so the magnetic housing usually sits ahead of a cartridge or bag filter.
Series
| Series | Flow (L/min) | Pressure |
|---|---|---|
| MG-LP | 250–1,000 | 6 bar |
| MG | 250–2,000 | 16 bar |
| MG-HF | 2,000–50,000 | 16 bar |
Field strength up to 10,000 Gauss, documented by a TÜBİTAK UME calibrated measurement report. 304 or 316L stainless bodies, threaded or flanged; optional operation up to 120 °C.
Frequently asked questions
What does a magnetic filter not catch?
Anything non-ferrous: aluminium, copper, brass and austenitic stainless chips, sand, dust, fibres and seal fragments.
How is it maintained?
There is no element to replace. Open the housing, remove the magnet blocks, wipe off the collected particles and refit them.
